TIES BEYOND BORDERS
The historic registers of Brazilian Lodge No.1182 point out movements that are similar to other Brothers’ movements, all of whom are engaged in the process of founding new Masonic Lodges. In the very beginning of 1999, Brothers, who had come from several Masonic Lodges in a district in common and who excelled at La Fraternidad Lodge No.387, La Universal No.751, Garibaldi Lodge No.542 and Mazzini Lodge No.24, started meeting having Brazilian nationality the aspect in common. However, even after the Brazilian Lodge No.1182 foundation, the majority of its members kept attending the Masonic Lodge La Fraternidad No.387, considered to be the Mother-Lodge of this new fellowship project.
The Brazilian Lodge No.1182 was founded on September 7th, in the year of the dawn of the new millennium and received, on June 16th, 2001, its Provisional Discharge by the hands of the Past Great Secretary, M:.W:. Gary Hennninsen and also the Past Great Master, M:.W:. Carl J. Smith, what regulated its working in New York. From this point, the Brazilian Lodge started integrating The Cosmopolitan Tenth, one of the most consecrated and respected Masonic Districts, jurisdictional to the Masonic Grand Lodge of the State of New York.

Since then, the Brazilian Lodge No.1182 has created its own identity through its crew of Laborers, brothers willing to enrich this beloved Institution by the determination of their character to spreading the principles of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.
Therefore, it is possible to affirm that joint efforts and the unconditional support of several Brothers and Dignitaries, who point out new groups by means of their particularities in common, consolidate the foundation of New Masonic Lodges. The main advantage of Brazilian Lodge No.1182 is the Brazilian nationality.
